Stable overclocking with ASUS Prime Z590-A

, I used this RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 4000 C16 1.35V) with the ASUS Prime Z590-A motherboard. The RAM isn't on the board's list of qualified suppliers, but I decided to give it a try. At first I couldn't get the RAM to overclock. I've spent hours and hours tweaking and tweaking BIOS settings. It reminded me of the early days when overclocking was more of a manual process. I changed lag and delay settings, voltages, anything I could think of. Nothing helped. I decided to rearrange the modules in slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3 on the motherboard. After that, XMP profiles started without problems. I've attached two screenshots from CPU-Z showing the overclock frequency, latency, latency, etc. Everything works perfectly. I ran stress tests with the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and found no errors. I also use Adobe Premier Pro and Photoshop for work, I'm a big gamer and haven't seen any problems with RAM so far. I also run a lot of programs in the background (Geforce Experience, iCue, Logitech GHub, Steam, Xbox, Blizzard, Discord, Teams, etc. etc.) and the RAM works fine. After about 1 month I can say with confidence that the pairing of ASUS Prime Z590-A and Intel i7-10700K is simply stunning. I highly recommend this RAM.

Pros
  • The robust aluminum heatsink efficiently dissipates heat from each module to keep it stable at high clock speeds.
Cons
  • For the old
