Gone are the days of lying to yourself that the black level on your monitor is just a gray area. This is a real fight. I have a $900 LG 4K 144Hz gaming monitor, with the parade of taillights, in my defense, a year ago it was a flimsy choice. It (like all backlit LCDs/LEDs) has horrible bleeding around the edges, and local dimming doesn't help improve the horrible black levels, it just turns your cursor into halos/flowers/blur, a tiresome eyesore. For an additional $400 I can now get perfect black, 120Hz 4k with submicron GTG. The picture is beautiful/meow 😻 All I have to say about the remote control is that you will never lose it. I thought I could use it for CAD or video editing by the looks of it, but it's growing on you. Sound quality is surprisingly good, not that my $20,000 speakers aren't better, but at least intelligibility is excellent. flex with a good graphics card. My K-Pop best friend could destroy an entire team in bf4 with a tank and when he tried to play at home in less than 4K resolution he was so fed up that he had to play a 240hz Atari ROG Gamer Screen sold and overclocked 4k. I started running 4K with x99 and 2x X295X2 in Quad CrossFire 7 years ago sucking 1300W out of the wall. It must have been really embarrassing when 7 years ago a 40 year old man ran 4k 60hz. Alright Gen X, let's go! It's time to stop chasing Hertz and substandard blacks and endlessly complaining about horrible backlight issues. I love this huge monitor and my 82 inch 8K Samsung is so jelly.
