Bought for Pit Boss Pro Series smoker
Pit Boss Owners Manual says that only probes bought from Pit Boss would work with their smokers/grills. I bought these to test and compare. I bought this and tested it on a pork shoulder over a 12 hour cook. Initially the temp difference between the probe that came with my smoker and this one was 6 deg different, but after about 15 minutes both probes were within 2 degrees of eachother (and a third digital probe). Throughout the cooking process they rarely differed.
- Works as well as the original ones (that I lost during the move). Would buy them again.
- Not suitable for outdoor use in extreme weather conditions
