Review on Dorman 902 310 Radiator Fan Relay by Matthew Marquez

Will not work on 2007 Dodge Caravan 3.3L

I was so happy I found this item at a much better price than the Dodge dealer ($200). The look and feel matched the OEM perfectly, so I was confident I had it installed. Once the front grille has been dismantled, it only has to be inserted into the reinforcement and attached to the frame in the pre-drilled hole of the old part. It worked fine for the first 2 days. On the 3rd morning my battery was completely empty. Even though I left something "on", everything turns off after a while, so it shouldn't happen. So battery charged and everything was fine. This then continued throughout the day, the battery kept draining until I soon realized the relay would restart the fan a few minutes after I turned off the ignition and parked the car. Both fans ran constantly, so that the battery was empty very quickly. I had to physically remove the fuse to turn it off. Perhaps the item I received was faulty, but my wife was tired of pulling out the fuse under the hood every time she turned the car off. I had to take $278 to the dealer with taxes and installation and now everything is fine.

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
