They are ideal for all reptile or amphibian aquariums. Runs on 1 triple battery included. Easy to read. Easy to use. Excellent price. BEWARE:. Sometimes the inner part is the reading of the device and the outer part is the sensor. Of the 4 I received, they are programmed backwards. A quick check is to launch the probe underwater and press the side embark/exit button. Which one is hotter depends on your probe. That's how I tested. Correct, just mislabeled.
