The wooden handles are well shaped and sanded for a comfortable fit when using brushes. Handles are pre-drilled for hanging brushes on hooks. This wood is of excellent quality, it has no weak points in knots and withstands heavy scratch pressure. The wire bristles themselves are very stiff and just the right density for a wire brush that scratches well. without. While a scraper is useful for certain things, it can also get in the way when you need to fit a wire brush in a tighter spot. It's nice that this set gives you the opportunity to use each of them. I am very satisfied with this set.
