Because I replaced my gearbox. With colder lines, the line will not release even if you lock the spring clip latch and make a quarter turn. I ended up using a 90 degree pick and needle nose pliers and removed the clamp and the radiator lines came out easily. Yes, it took a little extra work and time to get the clamps back into place, but this method worked best and I'm a retired mechanic who's been doing this job for 41 years.
