That's what I expected. It's functional and practical. If you are looking for a stylish briefcase then this is not the briefcase for you. This is vinyl, not leather or any leather-like material. But it has about eight compartments if you want that level of flexibility and organization. For my purposes, this is a durable accessory. I like the fact that I can put it on the floor and it stays upright. Some briefcases develop rounded bottoms over time, which can cause them to fall off when placed on the floor. I would take these again.
