This crap stopped working properly when a large amount of water was thrown out of the air gap tap under the kitchen sink. Thoroughly checked for clogs, no obstacles found! Mine, like many others, lasted a full 5 months before this happened. I installed it myself and if I did something wrong it wouldn't work at all. The only positive is that the quality of the water has surpassed the quality of all my previous filters. Trying to filter out dangerous fluoride (or hexafluorosilicic acid from the Chinese phosphate industry), lead and atrazine (a water-soluble chemical pesticide known to cause testicular shrinkage) in a first world country is a pretty big deal. without breaking the bank.
