Works great! I wanted to hang black curtains on very hot windows to reduce the heat a bit and wanted the curtains to be as close to my wall as possible. I bought (beautiful) linen curtains from Pottery Barn to hang in my windows for privacy, which is why I bought this curtain rod. My inside measurement is 46 inches and two sheer curtains look great on this rod. Of course, linen curtains don't weigh much, but this rod seems pretty strong to me. It's adjustable and I had the curtains up on a rod in five minutes! I have them on three windows and am very happy.
