Great rod to hang behind curtains

Works great! I wanted to hang black curtains on very hot windows to reduce the heat a bit and wanted the curtains to be as close to my wall as possible. I bought (beautiful) linen curtains from Pottery Barn to hang in my windows for privacy, which is why I bought this curtain rod. My inside measurement is 46 inches and two sheer curtains look great on this rod. Of course, linen curtains don't weigh much, but this rod seems pretty strong to me. It's adjustable and I had the curtains up on a rod…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Inferior product to choice of Revain

We bought this because we realized it was Revain's favorite curtain rod for spanning windows. Installed to hang a light curtain in the living room on a small window. It stayed up there for about a week until I noticed that one day while working, it fell. No matter how many times we tried to install, it wouldn't stop. Stress is minimal at best. The last time we tried to install the end cap it broke and we couldn't reattach it. This product is free and I don't understand why it's Revane's Choice.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Classy and durable in window treatment hardware

This curtain rod for sheer curtains looks beautiful. Easy to adjust and seems pretty solid when I move the curtain back and forth on the pole. The "pillows" that rest against the wall are a transparent rubbery material with protrusions. Therefore, they stick well and leave no traces on the wall. It's easy to regulate. The trick is to unscrew the rod to about the right size. Then attach the hard end to the wall and press it against the wall (there will be some sag) and then attach the other end…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There is a negative moment

This item does NOT work and here are 4 reasons why:

1) I couldn't figure out why the "tension" part of this rod wasn't working until I realized I was only sent halfway the rod! The "outer" part was supplied but the "inner" shaft (which fits inside the outer shaft) was missing. 2) I tried removing/unscrewing one end of the rod (before realizing it was a defect; see #1 above) to attach the curtain hook and then couldn't reattach the connector. There was no catch, and it didn't even seem to hang from the nut of the screw, so I'm wondering if it was

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Easily repairable
