Another vote for terrible. I thought I would take a chance with this adapter because I figured some of the bad reviews might be down to user error or defective products. no It was very easy to insert the VHS-C cassette into the adapter. The design of the adapter was really good. After I loaded the VHS-C tape, I tightened the tape as instructed (twisted the white star on the back of the adapter with my comically big thumb) so it was nice and comfortable when I loaded it into the VCR. He played for 2-3 seconds, then the brown tape broke off and was eventually eaten by the VCR. Luckily I managed to get the tape out of the VCR's mouth and my cassette was untouched. Although the tape is crumpled in places. Like an idiot, I repeated this process two more times just to see if I got different results, and my ribbon got eaten two more times. I have uploaded two photos of the aftermath. That's all. A small cassette easily slips into an adapter, but it just won't play on a VCR. If you have rare memories, I wouldn't advise risking their fate with this Death Adapter.
