Sucks. I'm pretty sure I have a floor unit, I'm pretty new to water cooling but I've had all sorts of over temperature issues. I figured it might be because my loop wasn't fully deflated, so I spent several hours tilting and rotating my computer to bleed every last drop of air. It helped my pace a bit, they were safe but a bit high. Not wanting to completely disassemble my loop, I left it and decided to see how things went. A few months later I had time to deflate and disassemble my loop and decided to test the pump by pulling the soft tubing straight out of the pump. to the top of the tank, which was a d5 pump/res combo. The pump couldn't even push the water back a full 9 inches back into the pond. At this point I realized that my initial feeling of bad pumps must have been correct. I've never heard of a d5 pump that can't even pump a loop that is literally itself and a reservoir, but this pump does just that. out. I will never buy alphacool pumps again, that's for sure.
