EDIT DECEMBER 28, 2022. Kalorik has offered to replace the unit and the replacement is apparently in transit. So I am disappointed that the unit died but I am pleased that Kalorik has responded properly. As others have mentioned, I had to send a video of the unit not working and a photo of the unit with the cord cut. I will update this review upon receipt and inspection of the replacement unit._____________________________EDIT DECEMBER 22, 2022. This evening, just short of 6 months of using this oven, it simply stopped working in the middle of cooking dinner. The oven just shut off and will not power up. Just completely blacked out. I have contacted Kalorik and am awaiting a response. For the moment, I am keeping my rating at 5-stars for now but will adjust it accordingly depending up the response I receive. I will update this review again shortly._____________________________My original review follows:We’ve been looking for a larger air fryer for a while but we were reluctant to take a chance on this one because of the earlier reviews which stated that it was dying on other customers after a short period of use.I’ve been holding off on writing this review because I wanted to give this Kalorik a fair chance to see if it would hold up after almost daily use. Well, it’s been less than a month but it has been nearly two weeks of daily meals – often two or three a day – and I’m happy to report that it’s still working. We have had a minor issue with a laggy start button: you have to hit it just right to get it to respond but, other than that, it works just fine.It was very easy to set up right out of the box. It’s easy to use, almost intuitive, and the directions are easy to follow. It’s big, but not gigantic. We’ve cooked chicken, French fries, bacon, toast, and many other food varieties with this and we have had consistently well-cooked meals without any mishaps or negative results. Everything tasted fantastic and, of course, it’s just that little bit healthier because it’s fried with just hot air.We haven’t used the rotisserie feature yet. We’ve set it up just to see how large a bird we could fit on it and I’d venture to guess that you could fit a medium sized chicken or duck. Whether you choose conventional or rotisserie, you can cook a good sized chicken in there but I don’t think you’re going to prepare your Thanksgiving turkey inside of this.It has an excellent grate and pan for bacon drippings. Little bits of bacon rest in the grate and you can collect the drippings for cooking oil in the pan for later use. It’s easy to clean and it’s non-stick. So clean up is fast and efficient. Not to gild the review but I have to add that this is a very handsome machine that looks great on our kitchen counter. The fryer has a modern appearance featuring black and chrome and should fit in with most kitchen decors. If we run into any problems as time goes on I will be certain to update this review. If it works as well down the line as it is working now, I will be very pleased with this 26-quart air fryer.
