good economical way to level wooden boards. Plunge only about 1/16 in the direction of the project at a time and only cut about 1/3-1/2 the drill bit size. Don't dive into the project, always start from the outside. I have used on many different woods (oak, maple, pear, mulberry, walnut, cherry) and have also finished parts with epoxy with no problems. Leaves a nice smooth surface that is easy to sand.
