Don't keep it submerged
The taste and quality of the filtered water is a bit better than store bought gallon jugs of water. Even from junk water source. although, don't keep this part of it submerged if you have a still water system. like a 55 gallon barrel of unfiltered water. The filter will fail withing a week.
