It's a really big bag and I have a 30 gallon tank and I've only used a handful at the moment so this stuff should last a LONG time at a great price. This is much more economical than buying pre-cut sizes for my filter. This material is real polyester filter thread, so it is extremely dense and does an excellent job of trapping particles and debris as they pass through the filter. It hasn't broken after a few weeks of use and I just flushed it with tank water during water changes when it started to look dirty in some spots. If it starts to break, I'll just completely replace the filter thread with another one. Easy to maintain and convenient to use!
