Okay, that's funny. I ordered this because based on the photo I assumed it was the same one I received last week. No not at all. I completely ignored the fact that he said it was for a specific make/model. It's not, of course, but it gives you an idea of the size. This applies to the smallest generation of external SDDs. Luckily the drive I wanted to use was a small Samsung 1TB (T7) which fits perfectly. So I'm actually very happy with its size, but if you have larger drives you might be disappointed. The case itself is semi-rigid and well-made. It doesn't have any padding per se, but the fabric-wrapped case offers modest protection.
