I'm not sure what happened to my heater. I've used it in my 180g tank in addition to a 300w Eheim heater for less than a month. When I was doing a water change today, I noticed that rust had formed on the Hygger heater. Contact with manufacturer not found. The heater still works, but I don't feel comfortable keeping it in the tank like that. Once I removed the heater and inspected it more closely, it turned out to be metal rust like flakes that I was able to scrape off the heater. I want a reply from the seller.
