Update I bought this stereo for 3 main reasons: - listening to podcasts from my iPhone - keeping the iPhone battery charged - taking hands-free calls For me it does all three things on par of what should have been a high-end car radio just 6 years ago. However, this device has one terrible flaw: UI (user interface). To this day, I've never managed to set the system to always play what I'm listening to on my phone outside the car. Whenever I get in the car and set up the USB charging cradle connected to the stereo, it immediately switches to Pandora. So I finally uninstalled the Pandora app from my phone. It then defaults to the Apple Music app, even though I was listening to the podcast a few seconds ago. But today I found a solution to this dilemma. If you have a charging station like mine that plugs into the stereo's USB port, you can always use the phone's latest audio feature: just press the SRC button until the phone in hand icon appears. lower right corner of the display screen. Bingo, Stereo picks up where you left off on the phone. I hope this helps someone.
