strap arrived today. The skin is pleasant to the touch, has a pleasant shine. All holes are evenly punched and finished neatly, but the buckle looks a bit rustic in comparison. The skin is much thinner than expected, making it more flexible and lighter than expected. Thin pieces of black metal connect the strap on each side of the scythe. They were slightly smaller than the replacement bands I bought. I think this band decorates the scythe, but it's not the best choice for everyday use.
