Our large puppy had a panic attack and caused quite a bit of damage to the door jamb in our house. Parts of the frame were missing, including places where the corners and edges of the frame were completely missing. I thought I would have to replace the door frame. The stains were too large and complex to simply touch up with a trowel, like filling a nail hole in a wall. Instead, I was able to use my hands to shape the gaps with Wood-X before sanding and repainting the spots. Looks like new. Be sure to let it dry for the recommended 36 hours for thicker coats (it will crumble rather than powder if you try to sand too soon). But it's amazing. I'm glad the tub is closing again so I have leftovers on hand for future accidents. It's nice that it changes color to indicate when it dries. Also note that it dries to a neutral/sand color - it's easier to paint over.
