So far I really like this product!

I just received this product today. I have rainbow green. Love that it's vinyl that really shimmers in the light. The photo was taken in the dark just minutes after the vinyl was pressed against the shirt. I just held it up to the light for a few minutes and it glowed pretty bright! I was wary of working with this vinyl after reading so many negative reviews. First I made a small test cut. I keep a 1 inch star file in Cricut Design Center to run a test to verify trimming/weeding. I have included my Cricut maker for holographic iron. (There's also a holographic heat transfer setting, but I didn't use it.) This particular design is very detailed and finicky, but if you move slowly and are careful to peel off the vinyl by pulling it all the way back, parallel to the surface, it will peel off fairly well. I will note that there were a few spots where it started to separate leaving some of the outer iridescent coating behind. It was very easy to remove by simply scraping it off with a sharp weeding tool (which looks like a tooth drawing). Cutting small pieces like eyes and the like was very easy. There were hot pressing instructions that covered a fairly wide range of temperatures (e.g. 290 to 340 degrees) and required pressing within 15 seconds. I followed the Cricut heat press guide for a holographic iron, reading 330 degrees for 30 seconds, rotating and 15 seconds, then chilling the shell (using a Cricut heat press). It worked very well. One of the small, thin twigs on the design didn't look very secure, so I just put a piece of parchment paper on top and pressed for another 15 seconds. It looks very nice and I am very happy with it. The shirt is a lightweight 100% cotton shirt from Target. The real test will be when it goes into the wash. I wash all my shirts inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry so there are no problems. I'll report back after I wash it. Remember to take your time and have a trial haircut. It's obviously a bit trickier than a regular iron, but if you take your time you'll be fine!
