I was very skeptical at first. I've used coolers and ice or thermoelectric coolers. Both are impractical. So I looked at Engel coolers but they are very expensive, usually around $1000. So I took the risk and ordered Whynter. Very satisfied so far! I drive a 2013 Freightliner Cascadia with an APU Thermo King Tripak. The tractor also has a 1800W inverter. So I always use a 110 volt cord. The cooler is very heavy so I leave it in the truck but hook up an APU to keep the power going. Also, I have my own tractor, so I removed the passenger seat and closet to make room in the tractor's sleeper cab. It takes up a lot of space. But if you eat out every meal, this fridge-freezer pays for itself in a month in grocery savings. Besides, it makes you healthy. This is a life saving device. Money well spent!
