One major downside - tools and equipment
This battery holder works. To be honest I can't say it works perfectly because as a maintainer I don't leave it enabled because that's not how I use them. If you're like me and don't believe he won't burn down your house or melt your battery in a puddle of molten lead and acid, you know this. Every time you unplug him, you'll have to tell him what your battery's chemistry is. You want to put it in your boat for the winter, leave everything packed up, and only turn it on four or five hours a week, you can't. I wish I had known that before I bought it.
