noticed oil on my coils when changing the spark plug so this is the solution. My new seal was blue as another reviewer mentioned. I liked this as the color helps to create contrast when leveling the installation. It was a perfect match for my 2004 base 1.8 liter Pontiac Vibe engine. After 200,000 miles the old gasket became hard and I was able to pry it open with my fingers when pulling it out. An added benefit of this job was that the problem with the oil fill area could be fixed. These engines have a known issue where a piece of metal can be forced in the way of the camshaft by inserting a funnel into the oil filler hole (which is easy to do). I was able to bend this piece back (which partially sheared off the cam) and get the moving parts out of the way. Now the engine has become quieter and this knocking is gone. It's worth noting that this is an EASY fix, although it may seem intimidating to some. If you can change the oil, you can find out.
