Good for flying squirrels, but they'll gnaw through it! I add some fleece cut squares to keep them cozy and very cozy. I love that I can open the box and look inside to check it out. It's also easy to remove nuts and foods you want to store in the box. I have several of these boxes so I can take one off to clean and put the other in the cage where the squirrels will sleep. You will need a bolt that fits the hole, a large washer, and a wing nut, which you will need to purchase yourself. Mine came with a pole that my squirrels would shoot, use and nibble on. I only wish it included mounting hardware. I bought another of the same box from another site but paid three times what the hardware cost.
