Pay attention to how you unfold the product and then use how you put it on. Instructions are not included. It's quite wide in shoes, but was fine in my walking shoes and vice versa. Practical given its stability. I sprained my ankle completely with swelling and all and I use it to walk and it makes a 100% difference. It does not fit in a ski or snowboard boot. It does not fit skates. It will push out all leather shoes. Definitely good for Converse and hiking boots. I didn't like his side pressure in my vans. Would buy again for my other ankle who is prone to tipping from an old rugby injury. If you climb stairs, walk or run without a limp, I recommend this product. 4/5 for comfort because you 1) tuck your foot into the laces, 2) have crossed straps left AND right under and over the foot that attach to the side, and then 3) the final top strap. It's #2, which makes it a little uncomfortable, but it stabilizes better than compression.
