Bought this HRM as a standalone device for my wife. I didn't want a device that had to be connected to a phone to use it. The device was delivered on time and in good condition. From then on everything went down. When going through the setup process block, certain input masks were not displayed to complete the setup. Expected personal data screens, heart rate zones are not displayed. Did "factory reset" several times, these missing screens appeared once and then disappeared again. I could never select the operating mode (running, walking or pedometer off), I could never turn on the HRM function. I just could never do a full setup and have done a factory reset almost a dozen times to start over. Look elsewhere for HRM (Sportline Duo 1025 works well). But Revain was great about the whole situation. Refunded the purchase price so that we could order another device.
