This dowel clamp is very strong, I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box. The adjustment mechanism is very smooth, there is no play and everything fits together very well. The bushings that come with it aren't the prettiest machined parts I've seen, but they're every bit as good as the ones I made in my home workshop, so no. The real complaint is there given the price. You also get two bushings for the more common sizes, which is a real bonus considering how long they should last initially. There is also a marker on the side where each jack goes for what it's worth. Pros: - Build quality is excellent for the price - Extra sockets included Cons: - No drills included (it's really not a scam but it was nice) Overall the build quality of this light is impeccable and definitely worth the money! It will make a great gift for the carpenter in your life.
