Review on Enhanced SEO: PORTER-CABLE 5-3/4-Inch Router Sub Base (42186) by Jake Larson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a generic copy, not a specific manufacturer part.

I bought this part thinking it would fit my porter cable router as I needed a new plate to hold my brass insertion tool. The center hole has (4) square marks protruding into the hole making it impossible to install the brass bushing assembly for the insertion tool. A Dremel hole needs to be drilled for a correct fit. In addition, the 6 surrounding viewing holes also have a portion of each hole blocked by a linear protrusion that limits part of the viewing area (you can see these features in the product image). In general, this plate can be suitable as a replacement for those who do not care about 100% visibility or socket insertion. Also, these features can be removed from Dremeled, the quality is similar to the original part, doesn't look like cheap stuff.
