Review on Enhance Your Performance with the On-Stage Posi-Lok Mini Microphone Boom Arm by James Naylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works! It really works!

So I had this crazy idea that I could build a portable isolating microphone station with a music stand attached. After lots of shopping here at Revain and elsewhere I decided to try Stagg MUS-ARM 1 Small Music Stand, On-Stage MSA9502 Posi-Lok Mini Boom Boom, Rockville Recording Studio Mic Shield + Reinforced Tripod. CAMVATE Ultraclamp stand and clamp with 5/8"-27 thread for microphones (model # 8541754602), I assembled them all (along with Anwenk rubber grommets with rubber washers with 1/4" threaded hole for adjustment) and IT WORKS! I actually built a portable isolated microphone station with a music stand! The clip that came with the Stagg music stand was only designed to fit a regular mic stand. But I needed something that would fit around this sturdy Rockville tripod. The Cavamate clamp did it. However, now I had to connect the Stagg music stand to the Cavamate clamp. This resulted in the On-Stage Arrow! These elements fit together perfectly to form the configuration I wanted to build. Spring. nearly perfect. The threads on the arrow when I connected it to the clamp ended up causing the arrow to deviate about 45 degrees from the direction I needed to orient the music rest properly. So I found Anwenk Rubber Pads and only needed one to ensure proper adjustment and alignment! And it works! He's strong, strong. The tripod can carry all that weight without tipping over. That's great!
