I'm aghast at the negative reviews.NO, it is not cheap.YES it is well made.They don't like the looks of it. It is clearly displayed on the site.It works spontaneously. This happens when a bit of foam is left dangling from the spout, and that will trigger the unit. Not a biggie. Mix a leaner soap mixture if this is a hex for you.Yes, you do have to get your hand close to get it to trigger. What do you expect? This is how foam dispensers work!I have used a LOT of foam dispensers. This one is the BEST. It delivers a good dollop of creamy soap. It does turn off when I pull my hand away. I am finished with replacing batteries in dispensers. USB charger is great. Unless you are a 24 hour gas station.It seems a bit temperamental at times when it needs to be coaxed to work. I have found that this only happens when there is a bit of foam stuck on the spray nozzle. That's because the bit of foam blocks the sensor. A quick rinse fixes that.
