This is a design flaw. We pack an ointment (think petroleum jelly), if you fill it to the top and screw the lid on tight, a good amount will ooze around the threads and make a mess. Just in case, we tried them with baby powder. Powder also fell out of the threads when wrapping. You just can't put something in that won't come out when you least want it.
