They are great for bracelets! Probably also for necklaces! I'm a little scared of using them on necklaces for myself because the lock is strong but can snag on clothing and open and the magnets aren't that strong. Stronger than most, confidence, but I'm deaf and can't hear something hit the ground when it happens. But for a hearing person, they hold most necklaces and bracelets together very securely. They are very easy to use. They practically snap into place as soon as you connect the magnets. Great for people with arthritis in their hands! I have only used one bracelet on one bracelet so far and I like it. No problem opening and falling off after wearing day and night for a week. Will try one on a necklace in the future and update when I see how well it stays blocked. I can tell you that I pulled the bracelet hard and it stayed locked. If I pulled harder I would snap the cord. So unless it is accidentally pushed out of its locked position I would rate them as VERY reliable!
