These shorts feel wonderful. The waistline is not elastic so they feel slight rough while getting on over my much larger bum. But once on you hardly notice them on. Since it isn't elastic there are up sides and down sides. I do notice if I bend down or play with the kiddos that the waist of the shorts tends to roll a tad. But the waist also isn't cutting into my stomach leaving and obvious unnatural indent either. (Which is far worse in my mind). I bought these to prevent thighs from running and didn't care for the reviews on bandalettes. I live in south east Texas buy the coast and these short allow for breathing room and they don't feel super hot.
