Really looks great - my new review

There is no comparison to these and the lava rocks that come with the unit. They look good in daylight, but at night, oooo what a difference. The flame reflects in the polished pieces of glass. Really nice, I have the Copper Color.

Pros

I mixed it with a cobalt blue from our local Lowes and it's the same reflective glass pieces.

Cons

May not fit well with traditional fireplace aesthetics

Beautiful update to our 20 year old fireplace and replacement for the previous “lava rocks”. Love how they sparkle when the fire is lit. I ordered 2 bags for my standard sized fireplace, and used it all.
