autolite AP104 Spark Plugs for Ford Ranger 99 4 Cylinder Engine

These spark plugs (pack of 8) were installed on a '99 Ford Ranger 4 Cylinder engine and are Rock Auto Dot com compliant. there were no problems (but the old ones decayed). Note that the easily replaceable passenger side spark plugs are not for the compression stroke but for the exhaust portion of the cycle. The candles mounted under the intake manifold are the ones that ignite the gas. Several people said they removed the plugs under the manifold (driver's side) without removing the manifold. but I'm pretty sure it happened with a lot of effort. Manifold is easy to remove - 6 bolts on bottom, 2 on top plus 2 for the EGR valve (requires metric wrenches/sockets). There are a couple of small hoses under the top manifold that are a little tricky to remove and reattach, but there's nothing a regular wrench can't do - use needlenose pliers and a long thin flat head screwdriver. A new upper and lower manifold gasket was included in the gasket kit I received from Advance Auto ($11). on the driver's side, it takes no more than a few hours, even if it's your first time doing this job. the second time no more than an hour. the passenger side is half an hour's work - they are easy. You may have to remove the EGR differential pressure sensor, but those are just two small screws. oh, and don't forget anti-seize for the spark plugs and bolts. At the same time I installed new cables: Motorcraft WR4109 Spark Plug Wire Kit, Amazon page https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BYGJOQ /ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1 . The old ones didn't pass the glow-in-the-dark test.
