Review on πŸ’ͺ Zerone TDA8954TH Amplifier Board: Powerful Dual Chip Digital Audio Amplifier, 2x420W Ultra High Power Module by John Mceachern

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works normally at +24 0 -24 VAC Sound is good.

The first thing I pulled out was the heatsinks (I bought 2 amps) without the thermal paste which I expected from amps at such a low price. TIM created and connected to AN 4220, which comes from a transformer of approx. 2 x 24 VAC in my house. I have used several pairs of Sony SS-CS5 and Polk Audio R15 from these amps (one pair of each), the sound was good when listening near field. ran for about twenty minutes, radiator measured 134F. I would like to try a higher potency, but what? Couldn't find any instructions for connecting to a DC power source, although the description says I can use any of those. I suspect that this information was inadvertently copied and pasted from the description of a single IC board with DIP switches, while those boards have two ICs. TO EDIT; I forgot about this and forgot to mention in my original review that on both boards the screw/AC terminals on the right side were cross-threaded and difficult to remove, one came out and then screwed back in, the other was snapped and not fully tightened . As a mechanic I have to find a solution to this, I've seen all too often the damage a bad electrical connection can cause. TO EDIT; 04/26/2021 Incorrect voltage specified in the header
