We recently purchased a pair of 50ft Flexzilla hose reels. Other reviews have noted a common issue where the hose retracts very slowly, especially when the system is pressurized. We had the same issue and were willing to return them to Revain for a refund. I called Legacy (manufacturer) tech support and they sent me a simple procedure for adjusting the spring tension. Here is the procedure and a video of the difference between done and after adjustment. We also really like the flexibility of the hose. Not sure if they will stand up to heavy industrial use but we think they will be fine for our use here at Rocket Moto. I would have preferred brass or steel hose fittings over aluminum, which are undoubtedly cheaper to manufacture. I recommend taking ten minutes before installing the hose reel and adjusting the spring tension and you will be much happier with the product. The procedure to add more spring tension is: 1. Remove coil from wall2. Place the keg on the workbench with the inlet hose side up.3. Remove all the screws around the perimeter, there should be 10. [Note: We have nine screws plus two for the mounting bracket]4. Make sure the hose stopper is securely fastened between the housing roller pins.5. Start by removing the top half of the body (inlet side), make sure the hose stopper stays with the bottom half of the body between the roller pins.6. Set aside the top half of the housing 7. Place one hand on the rest of the housing, with the other hand grasp the hose just above the hose stop.8. Remove between the roller pins9. Twist the hose clockwise twice.10. Place the hose back between the roller pins and let the hose stopper rest against them. 11. Assembly *** Update - after one year + usage. First, the hose is terribly flexible. Secondly, it attracts workshop dirt like no other and requires frequent cleaning. Otherwise, this thing drives me nuts because it doesn't rewind when it gets dirty. For me this is a real annoyance. The manufacturer suggested cleaning *frequently* with contact/brake cleaner and then wiping down the entire length of the hose with a rag and spraying silicone. This works for a short time, but then comes back to the old problem. I ended up selling both of them for $50 and used the money to buy a pair of Reelcraft hose reels. I would have saved $200 if I did it at all, but I tried to save money and it ended up costing more.
