My old blades were the ones that came with the trimmer about six years ago. I used them for myself for two haircuts a month. Because it happened so slowly, I didn't notice them getting bored. I just decided to replace them because it seemed like the time had come. The difference is amazing. Absolutely no train. The new blades are insanely sharp. For example, be careful if you are used to boredom. Walk lightly and slowly until you get used to it. As a bonus, the instructions were easy to follow and it only took two minutes to install.
