It was cool. before it broke
I bought it at the end of 2014 and suddenly this week it started making crackling noises and then died. And the warranty on their Elite series is only 3 years, so now that's a really expensive piece of paper. All other powered devices in that particular row of outlets in my house were fine, even those that weren't plugged into surge protectors. So, under normal operating conditions, it definitely fails. It's frustrating to buy such an expensive product only to have it fail for no apparent reason.
