how green are they Your standard snack packs.

For the price of hundreds of these bags I thought they might be compostable as they were made from what I thought was sugar cane. Apparently it's made from a by-product or fossil fuel of sugar cane. While they may be more environmentally friendly, don't they generally seem to be better for the environment? I think I need a little clarification because I'm a little tired of the overuse of the word "green". The clarification I might need might just be because I don't understand what they are trying to convey and not entirely theirs. It seems to work well as a plastic bag for snacks. They have a double zipper but are thin like normal kids snack bags. When I use dry ingredients like crackers, I usually reuse them, but they're not thick enough to last long. They are definitely disposable. If I can avoid it I only use kids bento boxes, but on picnics and school trips we have to use disposables so it's good to have them on hand. They're fine as snack bags, but I don't think unless they're composted somehow I'd shell out that amount for something that never rots in the ground.

Cons
