I recently bought this model to replace an older Pelonis (HF-18U1B, same manufacturer) which is now failing, only been used continuously for about 3 months (loud popping and flashing (probably arcing) accidentally erupting during use from the housing come) in any case, this model is no longer safe. I originally purchased the old model through Walmart and I find this model to be significantly safer and better quality than this new model which was almost $20 more than the old model here on Amazon. The original purchase of the old model was less than a year ago, in the winter of 2020. If I could give this new model 0 stars to be safe, I would. Notably, this new 2-in-1 heater does not include a mechanical toggle switch that shuts off the power (as advertised). Tilt Protection does not cut power when airflow is blocked (after tilting/falling), and when it detects it's level again, it resumes previous heater/fan settings without interaction. Even repeated bevel cuts do not lead to clipping. There doesn't appear to be any shutdown protection, which is what a tilt switch requires. Since the mechanical incline buttons aren't visible, they appear to detect incline electronically, although I won't void the warranty to confirm and will simply return them. Now, checking the consumer protection incidents for this company before posting, returning is probably my best bet.
