It wasn't until I took the time and effort to remove the old tensioner assembly from my 2001 Acura TL that I realized that this part was out of specification as Revane pointed out (this part will fit your Acura 2001). TL). The pulley on the left is original and has a convex shape containing a concave washer (shown upside down in the photo to clarify the shape) and fits snugly against the bearing. The pulley on the right is a product that has a distinctly concave donut shape. The concave washer never touches the bearing but hugs the pulley snugly! Thus, the bolt presses on the washer, which presses on the pulley itself and prevents it from rotating. This is BAD news if you install it this way as it will likely cause the serpentine belt to slip and eventually break. "Before you buy this, check out other resources to make absolutely sure it fits your car. By the way, replacing that with Acura and Honda is not that easy. not impossible but definitely not easy if you've never done it and know exactly what to do to uninstall and reinstall it. Much luck.
