I have a 19 year old cat with kidney disease who has had accidents in the last few months. I have used six different pet cleaners on hard surfaces and this is the only one I recommend. Some of them smell so awful it makes you nauseous. In comparison, the scent is light. I've only used it on walls, baseboards, treated wood, tile and vinyl wrap. On tiles you need a brush to clean the grout. Of course, now you want to wipe the urine off right away. Here's my method (sorry it's time consuming!) 1) Blot the area to remove the urine 2) Wipe the area with a damp towel 3) Spray liberally with Rapport Pet Stain Remover 4) Leave completely evaporate the stain remover 5) Spray stain remover again, leave on for ten minutes and then wipe off 6) Then spray on equal parts water and vinegar (or use a suitable cleaner instead of vinegar for hardwood), leave on for ten minutes and then wipe off. This final step removes stain remover residue.
