I was looking for remote control cars for my almost 5 year old nephew. Many of them were suitable for children from 8 years old, but my nephew is advanced so I thought he would be fine. It wasn't until I bought and tried it that I realized it was suitable for kids 14+. Yes. I'm still planning on giving it to him but I think I'll do something so he can't pull the lever all the way because he's very sensitive and of course needs serious monitoring when he pays it out. I've tried the car myself and it's really fun. This happens very quickly. The tires feel pretty solid as they tackled small inclines on the pavement and handled the mud well. The car itself looks a bit flimsy, but it looks very cool. It is easy. The turning radius is not large, but with practice you will learn to slow down when turning. I accidentally smashed it into a lot of things and it didn't fall apart. Batteries for the remote control are included. And it comes with two sets of car batteries. I loaded them both as soon as I got them so they were ready. I only played with the machine for about 20 minutes, but one set of batteries was enough. I hope my nephew didn't crash the car because these toys aren't cheap.
