Sweet Substitutions! 2005 Chevy Trailblazer EXT

I removed the dash to install the LEDs as I only had 2 out of 8 bulbs that worked which was annoying. While I was there it was stupid not to replace the stepper motors. My oil pressure gauge crackled all over me and suddenly out of nowhere dropped to zero. Scared me! With no oil pressure, you tend to blow your engine off the highway because you've just burned it out! Since the motor wasn't actually burned out, I replaced the oil blower, but that didn't help. I never thought the sensor itself would. As soon as I cracked the cluster, I wiggled the needle and it creaked like a door in a haunted house. There's a good chance it was the culprit. Even if it isn't, at least it has changed. Some of the others were restless, so I replaced them all. No rocket scientist had to replace them, 4 solder joints each. The exchange takes a maximum of 2 minutes. I can't imagine anyone who has used a soldering iron more than once messing this up. Also, they only go in one direction, it couldn't be easier. Once done, I connected and started the cluster. All sensors work smoothly and silently, and the panel with LEDs looks beautiful. I'll see it again at night! If your car is old enough and the warranty has expired. If you mod your cluster you would be a complete idiot NOT to replace the steppers while you have them and for what. a few dollars for? DO IT, no excuses! You will not regret it. Quality product, fast delivery!
