2019 but the touch button DID on January 13th. I've tried removing the battery but to no avail. The device also has no reset button. Neither my iPad nor iPhone would reconnect to it. After 4-5 days of trying, I finally decided to try the Add Device option. When he said to hold the device over the screen and move it around it, he said something like "This device is already set up as a greenhouse" and didn't allow me to add it. I then simply removed the device completely from the app, which enabled me to archive the previous data. Big Scream. Now that I've removed it, I've tried adding a new device. This made me hold it over the screen and follow a moving image. He had me move it around in circles about 8 times then he sat there and thought about it for a while and then he just gave up and told me he couldn't add the device and called support. I was too mad to call anyone when I'm mad, I'm a very nasty bitch so I just threw it on the table to throw in the trash. I had forgotten about it until now and thought I'd try it one last time before it ended up in the box of doomed devices. I followed the Add Device procedure and it was recognized and added immediately. Now it seems to be working properly again. As a result, this device is unreliable. Don't count on it, don't buy it. Just keep looking for something ready for prime time. I think it was just a Gofundme project that came out and it's version 1.0 and the people who invented it abandoned it. This is a good idea, but extremely unreliable. I received my sensor push today. I put it in a grow tent to keep an eye on my Cr** tree throughout the winter. As a Southeast Asian jungle tree, it cannot survive the winter outdoors. It's a bit difficult for me because I rarely use the heater, I like it when it gets 50 degrees in my house. So I had to bring in a small bug and put it in a grow tent under a strong LED light. Unfortunately the light doesn't get very hot. So I have to play the balance game by turning on the heaters (ugh!) and checking the temperature in the tent. Luckily, this thing transmits data through mylar, through multiple walls and floors. Installing and setting up the app on my iPhone and iPad was very easy to do. I didn't like that he kept insisting on turning on the GPS, which I ignored. I never leave the house so wearing it for any reason is pointless. Also, I was very disappointed to learn that there is no integration with Alexa, Siri, or IFTTT. Stairs are a big problem for me. It would be VERY HELPFUL if I could just ask Alexa what the temperature is in the greenhouse, or if nothing else, ask Siri. I HATE Siri and never use it, but if that's all I accept it. It would also be VERY USEFUL if she could interact with IFTTT apps so she could tell Alexa to turn on fans, heaters, and vents. etc. I checked the website and at the very bottom of the page about the gateway device there is a brief mention that all these things are being worked on. Just out of curiosity, I checked this website on the Wayback Machine at archive.org and the exact same page, word for word, was hijacked on April 4th, 2017, word for word. So, almost 2 years later, and this page hasn't been updated or changed at all. It seems to me that it's almost "abandoned software" at the moment. I don't expect these problems to ever be resolved. The product seems well made and has a lot of potential, but the developers seem lost in Los Angeles.
