Is this a real neon sign or an LED that looks like a neon sign? I do not know. A true neon sign requires a power source of 1000 volts or more to ionize the gas in the tubes. LEDs only require a few volts. The power supply with the dumpling sign says it's for three thousand volts, but who knows? The only way to know for sure is to remove some of the insulation and measure the voltage. The sign itself has a nice tangerine glow, but not as brightly orange as a neon gas sign. I can't give five stars because the wiring between the power supply and the tubes is covered with white insulation. This creates visual clutter. The insulation must be black. The sign itself is fine though.
